our next Open Sewing Workshop (Sewing Social) is happening on October 19th from 10:30am–1:30pm at the MaxBell Centre!

To help cover the cost of renting the space while we wait for grant funding, tickets are $10 each. In return, you’ll get $10 credit to use toward any of our project kits at the event (all kits are $10 or less).
If cost is a barrier, you can still join us. Just enter the code OCTFREE at checkout for a free seat. You can also reply to this email if you’d like a sponsored seat and let us know whether you’ll need to use one of our sewing machines or if you’ll be bringing your own.

New and experienced skaters welcome to come out to come skate with us. We will set up a table to meet and visit while taking a break from skating! If you have not already been to House of Skate please sign the Waiver and review the House of Skate Policies before attending the event to save yourself time at the entrance. Children under 3 are free, but no child care is provided.

However, please remember that these events are meant to be a safe space for the Queer community. Transphobia, homophobia, and discrimination of any kind are not welcome. Being a safe space also includes being respectful of photography. Before taking any pictures including people, please always ask for permission.
