Program Description
Common Ground is a free, four-week online program for Two-Spirit, trans, and gender diverse adults (18+). Together, we'll explore practical tools for navigating social anxiety, moving from survival mode into growth, and building confidence and connection at your own pace, in community with people who get it.

  • Facilitated by members of our community.  
  • Offered at no cost. Spots are limited.

Tender Hearts is for all 16 and over within the trans man or trans masculine umbrella. As well as all those looking to affirm, to explore, or are questioning a masculine gender identity. Tender Hearts focuses on growing a strong toolset around topics like self-compassion, relationships, and connection.

It is about creating space for positive, healthy expressions of masculinity.

This event will be held in the room near the entrance of the building. Look for the Skipping Stone sign!

Colleqtive is a peer support group for racialized 2SLGBTQ+ community members. This includes community members who are Black, Indigenous, and people of colour. This group is a closed space, only for those who the group is intended for. Join us in a colleqtive community space together! 

This group is not a structured therapy group nor is it a dating space. If you are looking for further support, Outlink staff are available to meet with you one-on-one or in small groups by phone, text-based messaging, or video call upon request. They can also help connect you to other counselling and support services. 

Please note that this meeting is moderated by Outlink staff and volunteers who reserve the right to remove anyone from the group who is in violation of our Safer Space Ground Rules.

If you'd like to take any pictures of the room or the group, please ask facilitators and participants first.

Getting There:

Paid and free street parking is available in the area. The nearest LRT Stations are Downtown-West Kerby (blue line) and 8th Street (red line). Nearby bus routes include the #65 and #66.  Other buses are nearby in the area as well. 

Building Accessibility:

There is a ramp at the main doors. There is a lip at the bottom of the ramp, so it's not quite flush with the ground. There is an elevator in the building. Washrooms in The Rainbow Room are all-gender and have larger stalls in them. 

Public health and the safety of our communities is very important to us! The following safety practices are put in place for our in-person programming:

  • Wearing a mask is always welcome and encouraged. 

  • If you have any cold, flu, measles, or Covid symptoms (ex. fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, rash, etc), we ask that you please do not attend.

  • The room can fit about 12 people comfortably.

* Please be on time, as the front doors at school rental venues are officially locked at 19h15 per our rental contract with the City. If you are late or planning to be late, phone numbers are posted at the door to contact the organizer. It may take a few tries to get your call answered while games are in progress. You may also try knocking on the gym doors at the back of Georges Vanier.

Queer Strength Club

Welcome to Queer Strength Club, a community-centered lifting space for queer, trans, gender-diverse folks and allies of all experience levels. Whether you're new to the gym or a seasoned lifter, this is a place to move your body, build strength, and connect with others in a supportive, affirming environment. Got a routine you're working on, or just want time to move your body your way? Stop by from 7-8:30pm for open gym. Bring your own program, experiment with equipment, or test out new skills at your own pace! Pay-what-you-can, suggested $10-$20 but free if that’s what you are able.   The Every Body Stronger gym has hand weights, kettle bells, medicine balls, rowing machines, and bars and weights for all kinds of squats, presses and deadlifts. It's also a fun, affirming space, with two any-gender washrooms, free snacks, and water.
