Join us for Career Connections in partnership with Tech Talent Tuesdays,
Hosted by Platform Calgary

Looking to grow your network, explore new opportunities, or connect with some of Alberta's most innovative employers?
Join Tech Talent Tuesdays and QueerTech for Career Connections, a community-driven event designed to bring together tech professionals, job seekers, employers, and industry leaders for an evening of conversation, connection, and opportunity.
The evening begins with a series of short talks and presentations from participating organizations, highlighting company culture, innovation, workforce trends, and opportunities within Alberta's growing tech ecosystem. Following the presentations, attendees will participate in Career Connections, a facilitated networking experience that combines the energy of speed networking with the authenticity of meaningful career conversations.
Throughout the session, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Connect directly with hiring managers, recruiters, and department leaders
  • Learn about current and future career opportunities
  • Explore company culture, values, and innovation initiatives
  • Expand your professional network within Alberta's tech community
  • Build relationships that extend beyond a single event

Unlike a traditional career fair, Career Connections focuses on dialogue over resume drops, creating space for more intentional and human-centered interactions. Attendees will also have the option to join a shared resume pool distributed to participating employers following the event.
Whether you're actively seeking your next role, considering a career transition, looking to hire diverse talent, or simply wanting to meet others in Alberta's tech ecosystem, this event is designed to help you make meaningful connections.
Who Should Attend

  • 2SLGBTQIA+ professionals, students, and job seekers
  • Allies and members of the broader tech community
  • Hiring managers, recruiters, and people leaders
  • Employers committed to building inclusive workplaces
  • Anyone interested in growing their network in Alberta's technology sector

Come curious, bring your questions, and leave with new connections.
