CANCELLED - REMIX youth programming: Music - Calgary Queer Arts Society

07/24/2026, 9:00 AM

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Calgary Queer Arts has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 REMIX Youth Program. We know this may be disappointing to those who were looking forward to participating, and we sincerely appreciate the interest and support we've received. Anyone who has registered will be contacted directly with more information. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Calgary Queer Arts.

Board Games - Queer Calgary

07/24/2026, 6:00 PM

Location: The Sentry Box, 1835 10 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T3C 0K2, Canada

Come join Queer Calgary for a fun evening of board games, laughter and fun! We welcome anyone to attend, whether you’re a newcomer to gaming or an experienced board game enthusiast.

This event is happening at The Sentry Box. Please note that The Sentry Box is made up of two separate business entities. To access the building, please enter through the west entrance into the Sentry Box, not The Sentry Box Cards. We’ll be on the upper mezzanine, and signs will be placed on the tables to indicate our tables.

Please be aware that this event is not wheelchair accessible due to the approximately 9 stairs into the building.

However, please remember that these events are meant to be a safe space for the Queer community. Transphobia, homophobia, and discrimination of any kind are not welcome. Being a safe space also includes being respectful of photography. Before taking any pictures including people, please always ask for permission.

You can RSVP on Meetup here! Please note you are not required to sign up to attend, all of our ongoing programs are always open to walk ins!

Alberta Aros & Aces bookclub

07/24/2026, 7:30 PM

Location: Online

Our book this month is "That's What She Said" by Eleanor Pilcher - an adult fiction novel about a demisexual woman exploring her sexuality with the support of her best friend-slash-platonic soulmate. At this meeting we will talk about the book in its entirety. (If you don’t read the book, you’re still welcome to join and participate in the conversation - just be aware that you might hear some spoilers.)

Please RSVP here: https://www.abacesandaros.ca/event-details-registration/book-club-22

We will email you the online meeting link an hour before Book Club starts, so that it's at the top of your inbox. Note: for July we decided to meet on a Friday instead of Saturday!

Everyone is welcome to join us, whether you’re a-spec yourself, or interested in reading books with a-spec characters/themes. This is a "no obligations Book Club" and you are always welcome, whether you read the book or not. We usually hold meetings every month, depending on the book chosen and its availability at libraries across Alberta. Feel free to bring suggestions for what we should read next!

Let us know if you have any questions (email: info@abacesandaros.ca).
