Location: Jack Singer Concert Hall, 225 8 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0K9, Canada
We’re grabbing a row of seats at Jack Singer Hall and heading to “Vivek Shraya: One Night Only.”
Before the show, there’ll be time to mingle and meet other queer singles, then we’ll settle in and enjoy the music together. No awkward setups, no pressure — just a really great night out with people who enjoy the arts and culture scene too.
Perfect if you:
• love live music (or want an excuse to dress up)
• want to try a new way to meet other queer singles
• are into arts and culture and want to connect with someone who would go to future shows with you
PRE-MINGLE:
For our pre-mingle we will meet at James Joyce Pub (114 8 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2P 1B3) for drinks / food from 6pm – 7pm. We will then do the 4 minute walk to the Jack Singer Concert Hall.
If you are coming to the pub please look for a group with pink lanyards!

Come by @bellscafe.yyc and learn how to make buddy burners with Pansy Club and @buddyburnersyyc 🔥
This will be a chill n fun beginner-friendly workshop! Bring a donation of your choosing (details below), and go home with your own hand-made burners to distribute to folks in our community.
You might be thinking... what is a buddy burner? 🤔
A buddy burner is a simple, low-cost emergency heating and cooking tool, historically used by groups like Canadian Scouts and Girl Guides. They’re made using corrugated cardboard strips, a short tin can, and melted wax.
Buddy burners are safer than many DIY heat sources, avoiding the risks of liquid fuels or burning trash. They can be used with simple pot stands made from bricks, rocks, or metal. The burn time varies, but they can typically last for 1–2 hours. Everyone deserves warmth 🕯✨️
If you'd like to attend, please bring a donation such as:
-old wax
-cat food/tuna tins
-corrugated cardboard
Donations are very encouraged, but no one will be turned away!
We are also grateful to have the fabulous @street.cats.yyc in attendance with us for the evening! Come make some burners, learn about harm reduction, and hang out with Pansy Club 💖
